Does UCLA have a kosher dining hall? ›

Kosher and Halal dining options are available during the academic year, exclusively at De Neve Residential Restaurant.

There will always be dining halls open during the meal periods. However, keep in mind that some dining halls are only open for certain meal periods and some may be closed for the weekend. Visit the UCLA dining hours website through the button above to plan ahead.

Residential Restaurants

You may also choose from our quick-service restaurants, which include Bruin Café, The Drey, The Study at Hedrick, Rendezvous, and Epicuria at Ackerman.

Kosher food is any food fit for consumption by Jewish people. The laws of kosher define which foods a person can and cannot eat, and also how they should produce and handle certain foods. The laws also state which combinations of foods people should avoid.

“Kosher” is a term used to describe food that complies with the strict dietary standards of traditional Jewish law. For many Jews, keeping kosher is about more than just health or food safety. It is about reverence and adherence to religious tradition.

For the fifth consecutive year, UCLA tops the niche.com list of Best College Food in America . This is the seventh time in the past 10 years that the campus dining program has been named No. 1 in the annual rankings, which are based almost entirely on student survey results.

UCLA's got Bplate for the health nuts, De Neve for the homey classics, and Epicuria for the fancy carbo-loading night. We don't only have the dine-in dining halls, though. Take-out dining halls include The Study, Rendezvous, Spice Kitchen at Feast, The Drey, Bruin Café, and Café 1919.

Housing Services has the ability to assign students of different genders to the same room, in gender inclusive housing, upon request. Students interested in gender inclusive housing should indicate their interest within the housing application.

ASUCLA Opens New Café at the Anderson School of Management, featuring the Only Starbucks on UCLA Campus. Westwood, CA – Oct. 18, 2019 – Just in time for Pumpkin Spice Latte season, the Anderson Café has opened its doors and with it comes the first on-campus location offering Starbucks coffee at UCLA.

Although the buildings do not have air conditioning, nice breezes off the ocean that is only 5 miles away, help keep temps cooler.

One (1) mini refrigerator is allowed per room and may not be operated in a closet or enclosed area. All refrigerators must be less than six (6) cubic feet, be U.L. Approved, and be in good working condition.

Modeled after Milan's San Ambrogio Church, constructed in the tenth and eleventh centuries, Royce Hall was named for philosopher Josiah Royce. It was built in 1929 and was one of the first campus structures.

Kosher meat is also served at the District Pickle, American University's Kosher deli, located on the first floor of the Mary Graydon Center. All meats served in TDR's Bowl Life and pasta stations are halal.
