I love "survival type" shows and while this isn't really survival I thought the experiment of putting different individuals together who are very different, in a closed environment to see if they can form a new society (hey, isn't this the premise of Survivor) is a good one. That one lady admitted she watches Fox News and then said she wouldn't have come if she'd known a transgender person would be part of the group. She seemed totally shocked when one person piped up and said they were transgender. Just goes to show that the hate fueled propaganda Fox News is spewing right and left is working. That lady had probably never come across a transgender person in her life but she was so sure she hated them all. Hopefully her time on the boat and with that person (sorry it's too early for me to catch names) will change her mind. I truly hope so. |

They are a really diverse group so that should be interesting as long as it doesn't start getting scripted. I like that they are on that raft and yet can go to the island and the story of the experiment that they did in 1973. I also like the thing about bringing a new person in and later letting the group choose between them and an original cast mate. |
