It finally happened in 2023, Reese’s created their first dairy-free chocolate confection. Reese’s Plant-Based Peanut Butter Cups were crafted with the brand’s classic peanut butter filling, but are enrobed in a milky oat- and rice-based chocolate. The full-size vegan cups have been quite successful, so this year, they decided to make miniature plant-based cups, too!

I found and you may too that I found these very good. For one who is milk intolerant, these are a good comeback to an old treat that is safe for me to eat. Those who are gluten free along with dairy free it may depend if you have celiac if you can have it or not. I’m gluten free but according to the ingredients it’s gluten free flours however there may be a cross threat with gluten.

Dry and unappetizing

Unfortunately, my experience with these was not good. I really looked forward to them too, as they’re one of my favorite candies. Took a bite and crumbs went everywhere, it was so dry. Peanut butter was like chalk. So disappointing!

These adult, less sweet, delightful peanut butter cups have a firm chocolate shell. You won’t feel like you’ve capped your daily sugar intake in one bite; nice balance of texture too.

Looking forward to my daughter getting to try my favorite chocolate. I think this is so Awesome that more things are coming available for her to eat. I hate when I read labels that say dairy. I know it’s gotta break her heart when she can’t have something she really wants. So way to go Hershey’s!!
