Pip ❤️ ˖⁺. ༶ ⋆˙⊹

🌹“I’m not sure I’m the good girl I once thought I was. I’ve lost her along the way.”🌹

Our curious, genius, strategic, brave, direct, mature, persistent, and sweet girl. She is everything👑

Pip got obsessed with the case of Andie Bell’s murder. She had known her presumed killer, Sal Singh, since childhood, and she had the feeling that this kind man didn’t do it. So, she set the goal to prove his innocence and started to reexamine the investigation with the excuse of doing her final project for school. She began to gather information and create theories of all the possible people and situations that could have occurred regarding Andie's murder. Let me tell you: this girl’s mind, curiosity, intelligence, bravery, resistance, and ability to link contexts and people were extraordinary. And she's only 17 years old! queen🛐 I loved her so much! Pip took every opportunity she could to get some leads on the case. Sometimes she was reckless. She wanted to find answers at any cost and made some impulsive decisions without thinking of the possible consequences and danger. BUT she also recognized her limits to be able to protect her family/friends when the time came. That same recklessness, curiosity, intelligence, and perseverance allowed her to find who the real culprit was. FBI, please hire her💅🏼

Ravi 🖤 ˖⁺. ༶ ⋆˙⊹

💗“You’re not just some anything. You’re Pippa fricking Fitz-Amobi. And I don’t think there’s anyone in this world quite like you.”💗

Thisss man🛐 I know this book isn’t a romance one, but omg. I needed so much more of Ravi😭 he is shy, nervous, brave, protective, caring, and so determined to prove his brother’s innocence. He is such a sweetheart❤️‍🩹

It broke my heart the fact that he had to go through hard times because everyone thought that Sal was the killer. Meaning: he and his family “were also monstrous”. People could me so cruel. Why they treated him like some pest? I just wanted to punch them all😭 my protectiveness towards him were truly activated like Pip’s when someone treated him badly. I just wanted to give him lots of hugs, tell him he did nothing wrong and just protect him.

My thoughts 💭 ˖⁺. ༶ ⋆˙⊹

➴ I loved everything about this book. Like, how my mind was blowing up the whole time that I was reading. It hooked me from the beginning, and I couldn’t stop until I finished it. Reading this book was always like a rollercoaster of emotions of all types, and not once bored me. It got me thinking and obsessing over everything and I enjoyed every single page.

➴ I loved the photos, documents, production logs, and all the transcripts of the interviews. These details make the whole book more dynamic, interesting, and so cool. I also loved how Pip and Ravi worked together, and became the best team and partners in crime💗

➴ I felt like a detective myself, trying to solve this case along with Pip. I was creating so many theories like her and tried my best to figure everything out. I had so much fun doing it! in my mind, I was doing one of those murder boards like in the movies/series. Have you seen the Pepe Silva meme? yeah, I was exactly like that LMAO. My mind was working so fast, and it was about to explode if I didn't know who did it😭

➴ My Nancy Drew skills were showing, but not good enough because I couldn't get the real culprit right😭 tbh, I was suspicious of a lot of people and couldn't choose just one person who I actually thought had done it🤡

➴ the audacity of the author to kill the dog! Like WHY!?💔

🕵🏻‍♀️

Liani’s Persons of Interest and Failed Theories List: 🕵🏻‍♀️

🔪 Jason Bell: he bullied his daughters and def didn’t have the best relationship with them. I thought he was hurting Andie in other aspects, and maybe in a fight, he killed her. I also thought, “it’s always the closer ones to the victim, right?”

🔪 Naomi: she was being SO suspicious since the beginning. She had a crush on Sal and she didn’t like Andie- so maybe she confronted her somehow and ended up killing her. But it was so easy to think of her as the killer since the beginning, so this thought started to lose sense. Then, I started to believe that maybe she didn’t do it, BUT def was involved somehow. Maybe she knew who did it or it was an accomplice?

🔪 Max: it was obvious that he was lying from the beginning. Plot twist: he’s the most disgusting person and the real villain here. I really hope he pays for every wrong thing he did and for every person he hurt.

🔪 Victor: why not? Everyone could be a suspect at that point😭🤣 he could’ve been the older guy and he’s a lawyer

a corporate one, but still, lawyers know things lol. My most sincere apology for thinking he did it😭 I just thought, “it’s always the closer ones and the ones you least expect who do it, right? Like in the movies.”

🔪 Ravi: I'M SORRY FOR EVER THINKING THAT HE KILLED SAL EVEN IF IT WAS JUST FOR 1 SECOND, OKAY!? It was at the beginning, and again, it's like in the movies- it’s always the closer ones to the victim so…😭

🔪 A complot: I thought maybe a lot of these people (and others) hated her and just killed her.

🔪 No one did: maybe she was alive, who knows? She had her reasons and maybe this was like what happened in Pretty Little Liars lol. So, why not?

🔪 Elliot: he had all the characteristics to be the real culprit. I suspected him a lot. Disgusting person who got involved with Andie when she was a minor and had his daughter’s age. And the fake Andie in the attic? I def wasn’t expecting that. And how did the whole Sal situation turn up? Now- THAT hurt. He didn’t do anything wronggg and this man just killed him to protect himself 💔

🔪 Becca: I did suspect of her, but just briefly. Like, she was the last one who saw her alive, didn’t have an alibi, didn’t have the best relationship with Andie, the party scene was weird, and was bullied and belittled by her father. So, why not? But the others were more suspicious and had more reasons, so I just kept thinking about them😭 also, her story was heartbreaking with all the things that happened to her and all the emotions, feelings, and secrets she had to hide. I was shocked when everything came to the surface.

Final thoughts 💭🤭 ˖⁺. ༶ ⋆˙⊹

➴ Sal was the real victim here😫

➴ so proud of Ravi who decided to retake his school exams and go to study law❤️‍🩹 he deserves the best.

➴ how is it possible that a 17 year old girl was able to solve a case like this and the police couldn't? they were useless, and she was a smart queen.

➴ it was so heartbreaking the fact that the town turned Sal into a villain and how badly they mistreated Ravi and his family. And it’s more heartbreaking the fact that many contexts of this book happen in real life. Some people tend to believe the first things they hear, and many don’t even try to look at the situation from other perspectives. They don’t look for more evidence and go straight to judge and blame. There are always two sides to the story and not everything is what it seems. Let’s just keep that in mind.

Anyways, this book should be read by everyone and reread by all people who loved it so much that just couldn’t get enough of it❤️

┍━━━━ ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ━━━━┑

˚˖𓍢ִ໋🌹 ·˚ pre-read ˚· ˖ I already know my mind is going to blow up while reading this book, so... *fingers crossed* that this book doesn't disappoint me because I'm truly excited about it🤞🏼
