Meanwhile, the fashion world is awash with pink, with Valentino’s Fall 22 primarily featuring pink.

The Barbiecore trend is anything that pays homage to the bright world of Barbie. In particular, Barbie’s staple hot pink look, but with a chic edge.
Fun and feminine, Barbiecore encapsulates the playfulness and frivolity associated with the world’s most famous doll, giving fans a boost of nostalgia and an opportunity to immerse into the bubblegum pink-clad world.
The trend is all about taking risks and being confident with your colour choice; pinks, purples, corals – the brighter and more colourful, the better.
Is a pink sofa a good idea?
Absolutely!
The beauty of pink is that you can push the boundaries, embrace its brightness and enhance the look with key furniture pieces, such as a pink sofa, pink armchair or a pink footstool.
Putting a pink sofa in your living room will instantly lift the room and give it a youthful look. Turn up the impact with a brighter shade or add a subtle design feature with romantic, pastel pinks.
A pink sofa doesn’t have to dominate your room. It can be styled in many ways and paired with muted shades for a sophisticated and calming look.
What colour goes with a pink sofa?
Due to its diverse range of shades, I believe pink works well alongside so many different colours, especially greens, blues and earthy tones, like taupe, and beige.
It also works wonderfully with crisp white and cream too, especially if the sofa is on the brighter side, as the cream and white helps tone it down and balances it out.
Metallic shades and finishes, both gold and silver, work really well with pink too and add glamourous and grown-up element.
The most effective way of bringing them into your design scheme is via picture frames, chair and table legs, ornaments, light fittings and curtain tie backs.

How do you style a hot pink couch?
It depends on the overall look you’re going for. If you want your room to be all about colour, I'd suggest dressing your sofa with vibrantly-coloured and patterned cushions in bright shades, such as teal, emerald green, gold or mustard.
But if you want more of a muted look, then opt for neutral-coloured cushions and a cream throw, perhaps.
How do you tone down a pink sofa?
A bold sofa can easily be toned down by dressing it with cushions and/or throws that are neutral in both colour and design. Calm colours like cream, white and beige will bring a softness to a bright sofa and add an interesting contrast.
You can always add an extra layer of design detail through texture. For instance, a chenille or sheepskin throw and velvety cushions.
What colours go with blush pink?
White and silver or white and gold always set off blush pink perfectly.
